Thread: bad speed..

i hav got un 512 connection that is unlimited i usually get not more than 50kbps download speed, but the test speed says its 0.5mbps also while downloading torrents from vuze i get avg speed of 30 to 35 kbps , please is there any solution to increase download speed of my connection...

Whatever you speak please be clear!
the speed you are getting is less but it is KB/S not kbps
And ya do port forwarding of your modem and then post what speed you get!

Please always mention your model/make!
And Try open dns:208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220

dear sir i m using shared modem and dont know how to open ports or shall i get my own dedicated modem which my service provider are offering will it help to increase download speed and also its 50KB/ps as u mentioned as i m using 512 connection please help me.

you please try stop multiple download , then clear all cokkies ,re install your operating system after finished that above all you just check your internet speed here by use this link IP Details.com : Internet Speed test ,if still you have problem means just contact your service provider....
