I am from Gurgaon and I recently got a new breoadband connection from YOU broadband India. It is cable and both the download as well upload speeds are 1 mbps. The connection is good and stable for surfing and downloading but I can't play counter strike 1.6 as my latency (ping) spikes when I shoot or I guess it spikes after every 2-3 seconds. Generally the latency is 40 to 80 but it spikes to 150-250 sometimes 300.
I formatted my system 3 days back and have checked it for malware, spyware and viruses and found none.
I have a Nvidia gfx card and Vsync is turned off.
Is there any solution to this problem. Please let me know if anything needs to be done from the ISP's side? I can try to talk to them.
