    Thumbs down You Telecom - Worst of all

    I have used 3 ISPS so far at different places, MTNL, Tata Broadband and You telecom. I have listed them in their order of quality.

    You telecom has been the worst, with no customer support at all. I never used to receive their bills on time.They would generate the bill on 1st, having due date of 15th and post it only around 7th or 8th. That too by normal post. Bombay to New Bombay it would take around 4-5 days to reach (if lucky). That leaves you only a day or so, in most cases, I'd receive the bill after due date. Then they'd charge late payment charges. In case, bill is received in time (max. 1-2 day before due date) I would drop the cheque in their drop box on date. Still they would charge me for late payment. Why? Because it takes 3 days for them to get the cheque and another 2 to clear it through banking channels. And they "charge late payment charges if cheque is not Cleared before due date" That is ridiculous. Not even credit card company (known to be alert for timely payments) does this. Number of times, I have proven this to their customer service by sending the post makred envelope scanned. No response. Next bill comes with the late payment charges.

    On top, they are prompt (within 2 hours) to discontinue the service is the usage goes beyond specified credit limit but do not restart it after bill is payed for 3-4-5 days whatever they feel like. Thats absurd.

    In past, I have gone to the level of VP (services). No difference. They are all the same.

    So all in all, its a waste of time and I hope my 10 mins of typing this out and yours 5 reading it, saves you a whole lot of time wasted if you dont subscribe to you telecom.

    YOU is such a disgusting provider that you would spend 5 times the monthly subscription on your telephone bills and petrol charges and yet it does'nt work.

    They took 1 month to come and install yet billed for the 1st month ,then you need to call them every day,it works for 1 day and then you need to lodge a complaint,after some 25 calls and waiting for 4 days somebody comes and fiddles something and says it would work within 2 hours.....NEVER again you have to call them 20 times and it works for another day again same story.....

    I came from abroad hoping to work remotely in the 2 months of my holiday,but I could not work for more than 3 days in that 60 days...they charged me bill for 2 months....finally when I decided to cancel it....they say somebody would come within 2 weeks and till then we have to pay the rent......I took the modem etc and literally threw at the reception....then they said I would get my caution deposit within 45 days and now it has been 6 months.............!!!!!!!!

    I hope any sensible fellow after reading my story would decide whether to go for YOU

    chikitha, you should not have paid the charges when you realized they overcharged you.

    You please file a consumer court case and sue for damages as well.

    yesterday they have sent me a bill of 1126, for a month(actually my bill amount has to be 500), for their connection which I have terminated two months back.!!!

    THeir customer care poeple calls me often and disturbs me asking to pay bill for the connection which I have terminated.

    These poeple are cheats....

    I have used YOU for almost 1 year(at different locations)...

    • Costumer support is pathetic... It takes around a week to troubleshoot a problem...
    • Deposit for modem is never refunded... (Tip- Keep the modem with you at time of disconnetion for ur satisfaction)

    Luckily never faced billing problems...

    Default Truly the worst in my experience

    These guys are baddd to the core... my problems..

    1. The customer service on tel is ok but the technicians are pitts...
    2. 2 Mbps plan prepaid signed up over a year ago and renewed constantly.. is a big big lie.. i discovered that they had internally put me on a 512 kbps plan and made sure the speed never went beyond 100 kbps at any time.
    3. After getting disgusted with the shared modem for my woes, i shelled out the 1 thousand for the modem.. but speeds are still so worse that i am afraid if my characters will get transmitted or not..
    4. I never was able to exhaust the data quota that i signed up for.. at 2/3 bits per second you cant really download much can ya?

    I am seriously thinking of taking them to court..
    let me know if any of you are also considering class action suit against such nonsense providers

    YOU telecom is worst one. i disconnected the connection 6 months before still they are generating the bill, n call in regular interval to eat my head, cust care is bad for them 24Hrs will be 120Hrs or more than that to resolve a problem.

    really a bullshit thing came accross.

    i can see that all of you people are having the same opinion why dont you people talk to each other and see if you all are from one city then can jointly drag service provider to the Consumer Court ...! let them pay for the trouble given to you... if you had done something to them then would they leave you...?

    I've been using it for last one year, and i also have such bad experience. Never go for You Telecom. Worst service in all aspects.

    I really don't under stand when already reliable ISP are available then why ppl, went to these types of worst providers like YOU, tata indicom.

    I have got the connection from you tele com since last one week. That time the sales executive has told me that, when ever you are not to use the internet,you can block the dayes. The dayes which is already you have blocked will be carried over there.

    But i have spoken to you tele com people, they have refused.

    i am project person , most of the time i will be in the out of station.

    i am very disappointed for this kind of activity.

    So please friend dont belive sales executives.

    Customer care is really bad with you. Last time I was disconnected, it took 3 days for them solve the problem. 2 days later an hardware person checked everythink from my side & still that didn;t help till i got the branch managers no. from Info guide book.

    I have been an Iquara and now You customer for over three and a half years running now, and I hope my story isn't the only one in this sea of despair! I earlier started off with their 256kbps unlimited plan. The initial year wasn't pleasant, had routinely one day outage in a week. I was told that it was because of fiber cuts which were beyond their control. Year two was slightly better, and that was also when I upgraded to 512.

    I have bee on 512 plan for almost one and a half years now. During this time I have had exactly three service disruptions, all fixed within 24 hours. I always always get the 512 upstream and downstream speed. My connection's at Pune, Dahanukar Colony. I think I wrote an earlier review here as well, can't see the link though.

    I only spoke to their CS on a couple of occasions. The last time was a couple of days back when I changed my computer and couldn't figure out why it wasn't connecting. The guy took some time, but eventually did figure out that the MAC address needed to be re-registered. And that did the trick.

    I'm soon going to move to Balewadi, they they say they have given connections in Elite Empire complex. Lets see if the performance there is as good as I'm getting!

    Last year I think in Feb timeframe I did an extensive survey of almost all ISPs for an Unlimited plan. You is currently the MOST VFM. Airtel was in the running, but no service in Dahanukar at that time could be, except for their 125GB clause. Still, not too bad but their so called Value added services are useless for me. I'd rather buy my own good quality Internet Security suite.

    You Telecom I is REALLY WORST BROADBAND SERVICE PROVICER

    I took the plan 512kbps but got the speed 100kbps thats too much low

    I complaint in call centre they every say we will resolve the and send
    technition to you

    But no tecnition come to me Even I call called them they give the time
    and will never comes to resolve the issue

    No one YOU to hear your problem

    I have experiance YOU and advice don't disturb your life by taking YOU

    even I have spent lots of money in recahrge in mobile for YOU

    Thats all my words for YOU

    YOU Telecome means a sucide for customer

    I have been with You telecom for the past six years. It may not be the best internet service but its not worst or even bad. its fair enough and ok. its speed is good and also technical assitance is good. the call centre is bad.. if u have contacts with local technical support persons then problems get solved early.

    Only thing the dropouts are more in you tele compared to otherproviders

    Thumbs down you tele woes

    during the fist 1 year and 4 months with youtelecom, i've had to make a total of 19 complaints on the telepohone and write several emails. that's an average of over 1 complaint per month. for most of my complaints I received the usual excuse of a fibre cut from a customer service
    representative. However, this excuse does not hold valid, as they could not possibly face fibre optic cable cuts for periods of 15 days at a stretch every now and then. In case of text messages intimating a problem in the area, their estimated uptimes were exceeded on an average by 4 hours each time. At several times their inbound customer care was found to be busy but there was never a delay in outbound calls from you telelcom call centres reminding me to renew my account and pay the bill. a service person would take 10 to 15 days to come home and solve a problem but only 2 days to accept a cheque for any payment. they have never addressed the topic of compensating me by creditng my account with free MB / extra days for downtimes which ran into several weeks.
    The speed is much lower than it should be and the ISP's quality is despicable overall.
    Avoid it.

    I totally agree with all of you. YOU is the worst Internet Service Provider. Horrible connectvity & Customer Support is third rate.

    Thumbs down You provides pathetic service

    You broadband is pathetic..... I requested for shifting my connection in next building. At the time of payment, they said within half an hour, shifting will be done. Now it has been 9 days after payment, it is still not done. I have to call customer care each day. They say only we have forwarded your request. People at Pune center are very very bakwas........ Pathetic experience i am facing.... Please do not go for them......
