Airtel has its own share of issues. They have ridiculously low fair usage policy levels because they wish to monetize through their speed on demand and airtel smartbytes services. Airtel is also well known for changing the speeds / monthly limits of the broadband plans according to their profit margins!

Be prepared to spend a fortune for the plans that come with 75GB or 150GB fair usage policy limits. You can find some new plans from airtel over at airtel broadband new plans | high speed broadband plans 1mbps to 4mbps

I have just signed up for posting this.

Take an Airtel connection only if you want fun in your life! They don't provide service. They don't respond to your complaints and they bill you.

That is their sense of humor

If you don't find it fun enough, just wait long enough and they can lodge a police complaint just like that.

farrr my suggestion if u value money and do huge downloads or even modrate surfing please stay with with BSNL they got nice plans for all range

if u really want fast net and wont care for money u spend then switch to airtel

if u care for money and switch to airtel u will suffer everyday like me

though i am using it for 3 years its just there FUP is too low they are just abusing it and cashing over it

Default Airtel is the Best network when compared to others

i was using airtel past 2years i used GPRS and 3G both. what i found that airtel is providing avg downloading speed is 5KBps = 40Kbps i was getting in Bangalore. In 3G i was getting 120KBps = 960Kbps speed. i have reliance dongle a(net connector+) also but they told 3.1 Mbps [Megabit-per-second] = 3100 Kbps [Kilobit-per-second] = 0.388 MB/sec [Megabyte-per-second] = 387.5 KB/sec [Kilobyte-per-second] But i was getting only 70KBps = 560 Kbps speed that was the speed i was getting so go for Airtel Enjoy the speed........

I strongly recommend BSNL if you are somewhat tech savvy and interested in sorting out your own issues. They also have a 8 MBPS plan for 2.7k with 60 GB download, anything upwards is about 200 per GB which is super expensive.

Service is good, but as some one mentioned Airtel changes plans, limit and speed with out users explicit concent just to sell additional features such as Speed on demand etc.

They also have most incompetent customer support executives who just don't understand some of the technical issue and won't understand meaning of commitment or honesty.

I was changed to wrong plan, got my connection deactivated and made to pay for period i was not able to use the connection. Now I am being asked to produce fresh documents to get new connection and new number while this is fault of their customer support. I am not even given bill for amount they made me pay.

The Airtel Presence as well as Nodal Officers are on same level as Customere Support guys when it comes to resolving issues and Parrot same standard lines.

If at all you have no other way then to move to Airtel, choose lowest priced plan , this will limit the loss when you have to disconnect Airtel Broadband service.
