need some Information to configure a wireless modem for my reliance broadband

i have taken a broadband connection from Reliance a month ago.
i have been provided with a wired modem (UT-300R2). i use a wifi enabled laptop to access the internet.

I was told that Reliance will not provide a wireless modem for the plan that i am on and the Reliance service person suggested that i get a wireless modem myself from the market and i should be able to configure and use it without having to keep my laptop connected to the wired modem always.
so i got myself a wireless modem from Beetel (450Bxi ADSL2+Modem). i am having a hard time configuring the modem and i called Reliance customer service for help and they were of no help including the floor supervisor who who i spoke to

i am hoping that someone who reads this will be able to help me and provide the details i would require to configure a beetel 450BXi modem to reliance broadband so that i can use my laptop to access the internet without having to keep my laptop connected to the cable from the modem.

Do not disturb any settings in Utstar 300r2.
keep this as standby
UT-300R2 ADSL MODEM MULTIUSER CONFIGURATION

Open the modem and check in WAN page
VPI VCI for RELIANCE> to be used in Beetel450BX

Now with ut300r2 connected and internet working
In computer
Start RUN type cmd
Ok
New window
type ipconfig /all
Copy/paste the data here.

Confirm which mode you tried
Dialer Mode ( userId PW external to modem)
or Always On PPPoE( userId/PW0 entered in wan page of modem
Once you get connect the laptop in lan mode and succeed wifi also will work.

Finally solved it. It appears real easy once it is done
If anyone has similar trouble, this is what i did.
1. Obtain dns server addresses using ipconfig/all
2. Connect the reliance jack directly into the netgear DG834. ( * Beetel450BX1
Kept aside the modem they supplied.)
3..............
4. asks for dns and static ip. Enter the dns, and set ip to obtain automatically
5. Set security as needed, as once logged in, it stays logged in even after the pc is shut down. (Useful feature for using other wifi devices)
6. Enjoy the connection

can you guide me further in configuring the modem

What is the IP address you enter in browser
to access menu pages of modem Ut300r2?

Allot the same address to Beetel 450Bx ?
Connect Rj11 to Beetel 450Bx.
In wan page select "BRIDGED"
Use Reliance DNS in menu page DNS.
In lan page enable DHCP and enter the range given in
ipconfig /all data above.
Test in lan mode the laptop for internet connection.
check Diagnostics page .if no connection.

192.168.1.1 this is the IP address i use in the browser when i connect the Beetel 450Bxi, not sure what the ip address for UT-300R2. can you please provide if you know and i will try out what you suggested.

The default gateway shown in ipconfig /all
will be the modem IP address for Ut300r2
See post No 2 & 4 again.
for Beetel450BX settings see link wa3002-G4 below.

Thanks everyone for the help provided with my previous post.
The issue was with my modem i guess the Beetel 450 Bxi, the company guy came and replaced the modem. i have now switched from Reliance to Airtel Broad band.

Any way i am now faced with a new problem and im looking for your help.
Like i said earlier i have an airtel broad band 1 Mbps connection, i have a Beetel 450Bxi wifi router, it is connected to a desktop PC in the second floor and i live in the ground floor and use my laptop to access the internet wirelessly.
because of the distance i do not get good signal in the ground floor.

I also have a spare UTstar Com modem. i want to connect the internet connection line to the UTStar Com modem and place it in the 2 nd floor, connect it to the Desktop and also connect the Beetel 450Bxi (wireless) and bring it down to the ground floor for my use.

Please let me know if there is an alternate way or please let me know what i would need to do to connect 2 modems to a single broadband connection. Do i need a splitter or something??

If Phone port is available in ground floor both units can be used.
only one modem will work at a time:
Setup:
(A)Ground floor AIRTELPhone jn===adsl splitter==rj11 ==Beetel
.........................................Phone port all phones.
Second floor Bsnl Phone jn===direct rj11== utstar modem==desktop.
(B)or parallel RJ11 from Beetel Modem port.
or
(C)Groundfloor Beetel 450BXi Rj45 from LAN1 to
secondfloor desktop ethernet port.

Both Desktop and Laptop ( in wifi) can work at same time.
Enable DHCP in Beetel modem
and "always" on connection ( userIDPW entered in WAN page)

oh so Internet cannot be used by my dad on second floor and me on the ground floor at the sametime?

hmm.. well my dad is planning on buying a WiFi enabled Laptop. when he does how can i ensure both second floor and ground floor has good wifi signal. i only have one wireless modem Beetel 450 Bxi. what do you think i would need to do for both floors to have good signal with one wireless modem.

Presume you don't have any other adsl modem.
(For Beetel 450BXI use for both desktop and laptop ).

Keep the Antenna at a higher plane near the window.
(wifi signals need "line of sight" propagation.

If not possible, Dual Antenna 2N wifi routers needed.
