How to setup Netgear N150 DGN1000 ADSL+2 modem router

i have a mtnl broadband connection and i am unable to configure the netgear modem router.

could anybody please help me out , i have tried everything from in the setup wizard, but it still doesn't work.

Change MTU value to 1430 ( seems to have worked )or 1460 etc.
Default usually 1492/1500..

could you please provide a step by step way for configuring the modem as i do not know how to , whenever i slect pppoe conection type i always get a message that internet connection not detected

i dont want 2700 bucks to go to waste , even mtnl guys not able to help me, im sure someone must have bought an netgear ADSL2+ router modem is using it with mtnl broadband...........

First get LAN mode working. Then WIFI.
( In this Page Go Advanced /scroll down/Attachments/Manage attachments/ Upload the saved picture from Hard disk )
or upload at tinypic.com and give the link omitting http:// only.

VPI VCI for MTNL 0 and 32.
In Advanced settings WAn Page click first button
Check MTU value in same page try 1430 or 1460 or even 1400.

Most Netgear models have identical menu pages.
I am using WGR614v6( Only wifi router)

Presume MTNL has given your USERID as admin and default password password ? confirm.
Or can you change it elsewhere after getting connected?
I mostly find MTNL Phone numbers used as User id 2237xxxx 2259xxxx 2248xxxx 2292xxxx etc

Congratulations.
Try the wireless settings as you need wifi. and test your laptop.
Your help is required to post a guide for this router.
Please post screen shots with revised entries. specially revisedID/PW ( blank it) and MTU value/llc etc

2. Other laptops/desktops can be connected to LAN1 to Lan 4.
In wifi mode , the ssid will appear in other wifi devices like cellphone/smartphones etc.
Mention OS used.

i was able to connect to my dell latop for the first time, it detects a netgear connection , for the first time when i entered the secirity key internet worked on the laptop but now when i enter the key again its shows security key mismatch....

Did you remove the LAN cable from laptop? for WIFI mode ?

Channel selected should be 11. Try without any security key
Any other wifi ssid's appear ?

its okay i just needed to get the security settings in laptop as WPA_SK the same in the router...

Model is almost similar to other Netgear WIFI routers except for additional menu item Adsl .( basic settings)
Some problem reported with MTU settings. try 1430/1460 or worst case 1400.

I purchased a new Netgear N150 ADSL2 modem router and have been trying to confugre it for my MTNL triband account with no success. However i followed this thread and changing ADSL method to LLC method worked for me. Everyone else suggested keeping the VC method, I dont know why. Anyways thanks for the suggestions.
