    Default Net Xpress New BB Launched in Chennai

    Hi Guys,

    There is a new entry regards to ISP field in Chennai called NET EXPRESS. Currently they are Operating in Adyar , Gandhi Nagar, Thiruvanmiyur till Palavakkam (ECR)

    Got the connection 1 Mbps today (Changed from BSNL)

    Pros : Fiber Optics , Promising Speed, Wi-Fi can be configured, No F.U.P, Unlimited plans , Cheap when compared to other ISP's (BSNL has revised (Hiked) their plan 25 rs/- to 50rs/- depending on the Tariff w.e.f 01/03/2013)

    Cons : No Auto dialer (same reliance BB) , Cable Modem, No combo pack (Phone n Net)

    They are the Subsidiary of Micronovaimpex

    Net express website is not up and running yet, called up customer care n got the info that it will be done maximum by 15th March - WIP

    So far no complaints, Impressed

    Tariffs

    Speed 1 Mbps 2 Mbps 4 Mbps 8 Mbps
    Data Usage Unlimited - No F.U.P
    1 Month Subscription Charge Rs. 499 /- Rs. 799 /- Rs. 1299 /- Rs. 1699 /-

    Hi guys
    Its been 1 month since i took the connection from Netxpress. Thought of giving a feed back.
    I used Reliance prior to my BSNL connection, In reliance there was no Auto - Dialer , it will disconnect automatically if idle for about 20 -30 mns and again have to sign in. Same process applies to Netxpress as well (No Auto-Dialer)
    Apparently in Netxpress until and unless you switch off the modem for about 5- 10 mns, it wont disconnect you.

    Speed : So far good , No drop down, No Torrent throttling, Not varying
    Connection : Stable (Tested for 72 hours - works like a charm)
    I have attached Screen shots of the Speed test and the torrent download speed (Can check the DU-Meter -Gadget)
    Overall Happy with the connection

    It is all crap. They promise and never live up to the expectations. I signed up for their 8 mbs plan as it was cheaper that the bsnl price. only the first week i got around 7.2 mbps. After that since the first week of feb i am calling them every week with either speed issue or the connection issue. whenever i have important meeting and use the internet, it will suddenly disconnect and when you call they will say the link is down or the bacbone is disconnected. i have been patiently calling them for the last 6 months to fix the speed issue. i have been paying 1909 every month and yet to get the promised speed of 8mbps. i get it only sporadically. on an average i only get between 2 to 3 mbps and keep paying for 8 mbps.

    BSNL is far better as they promise only 6 to 6.5 mbps speed if your location is more than 500 mtrs. Their link never goes down unless there is heavy rain and winds and the wire si blown off.

    Think carefully before taking up this netexpress and avoid getting a nightmare and frustration like me.speedtest_7jul2013.JPG

    So you have been paying the whole amount and not getting the speed they said, did you get any money back of compensation?

    I guess this a promotional post by netxpress. Never ever pay them. They are worst internet service providers. They are cheats. I lost huge money. They always assure you good service but NEVER provide them. Everytime you call them, they say Optic fiber cable cut, will resolve in 2 hours. You can expect the problem resolved in min 8 to 12 hours. It will work for few hours and again network will be down. if you call them, they will again give standard reply Optic fiber cable cut, unable to locate the cut, will resolve in few hours, again will take 8 to 12 hours. This is worst ISP provide in India. NEVER EVER USE THEIR SERVICE. THEY ARE CHEATS, THUGS, FRAUDS.

    Do they compensate you by reducing the bill amount for the time while service is not available?

    No, they act as if nothing has happened. No complaint number is given on booking complaint. They are running under then name Micronova. Can I take legal action against them? I guess they are not a recognized ISP provider. They do not have permission for laying overhead cable from local municipality and they gave that as excuse today for frequent cut in fiber cable. Kindly advise.

    Yes you can take them to court but the first logical step to take would be to change your service provider.

    Proving anything in court would be a waste of time because they will get away with returning you a months fee or two at the most and may be a couple of thousand in fines that is all. If you have the time and energy then go to court sure but is it worth it?

    Write a beautiful review here in the relevant section and let every one know what the service is like step by step and what you went through and that will hit their pocket which is the most sensitive spot for anyone in this day and age. Any one searching for a review before getting their service will see your review and will look at other options.

    You should change your ISP soon. Try BSNL instead.

    I completely understand how you feel. I have been through that but with a different company.

    The legal system should be made quicker to resolve such issues in like a week or so which would make sure customers get good service for the good money they pay.
