Did you check the other link given. ?@vivo88 problem for WGN1000?
Menu pages were posted and tweaks made to get the router working.
    REF:http://help.orange.co.uk/orangeuk/su...ersonal/462189

Your reply is vague. First job is to access Menu pages.
Manually, i can't open routerlogin.net, please help me fix it :
See in the model label IP address Example 192.168.0.1
    Tried resetting twice, no changes.
means you could do some settings in the wifi router ?or could not access menu pages /

    2.
no wizard mode in my 192.168.1.1 ......
Router doesn't setup with netgear genie
    what info 'Genie' asked ?

    Para two:
(3)Confirm you access the menu pages, with whatever IP you have selected.
( If ADSL modem IP is 192.168.1.1 you have to change NEtGEAR's IPaddress in its LAN page to say 192.168.2.1 )
    (4)
If accessed :Post connection status screen shot.
(Only settings in five or six menu pages settings involved.)
Start with answer NO. Obtain dynamic IP etc.
    (5)
Mention details of the ADSL modem/Number in use.
    (6)
    How do you connect ?
Dialer mode Or PPPoE mode ( id/PW stored in WAN page of adsl modem )
Feedback. Answer each question by number.

Check when I am ONLINE in this forum and alert by sending a PM
( private message). Don't move away from the forum.
I spent about 1 hour with Vivo88 and because of his feedback to me
He got his modem+wifi router up working in WIFI mode.

Thanks for your reply to my topic.
Sorry if you thought the reply was vague, i was simply stating that i can't access menu pages because the LAN mode doesn't work.

2-Netgear genie just asked me to make the connections, nothing else, and then gave me the error that No Router detected.

3-Access to menu page is through 192.168.0.1, but it doesn't open.

4-Do i post screenshot of connection status in Win7?

    5- I use UT300R2U

    6-Connect using PPPoE mode

Explain how you made the connections

This report only with wifi router connected to computer.

Click LAN and see status. details. what ip address you got ?
How can you connect to Internet only with standalone WIFI router ?

Presume you get connected with UT300r2u with old settings.

First i switched off the modem and took the plug out.
then i took the LAN cable from the box and connected one end to modem and other to router.
Next i took a new cable and with it connected the router to the computer. (The ports are colour coded so i'm sure i did the connections right)
Next, i turned on the modem, and after 2 mins the router.
Then i tried to set it up on genie, but genie said No Router Present.

Modem RJ45 goes to WAN port. LAN1 to computer OK.
What is the default IP printed in wgr 614v10 ?
are you using the correct ID and PW ?
    Usually admin PW password
Try Netgear PW blank. or 1234

Netgear Genie is an external application. not needed now.
    ( not part of WGR614.v10 )

I'm not able to get to the ID and PW dialog box, i just put the address in the address bar, press enter and it displays that the page is not available.
The default IP is not printed on the router, just the domain routerlogin.net is given for setup.

    Select router settings.
Then use defaultId pw for wireless router ). Mention it here.
post error message which appears ( as in my screen shot )
    I cannot proceed further.

    2. Create a WLAN in your laptop.
( MY wifi network is selected . ) Check any other ssid's appear.

Can't post screenshot due to post limit, but my error is same as yours

2- Do you mean set the router up using windows 7 or a virtual one? If you're talking about virtual i already have it and it pops up. Even the NETGEAR SSID appears, and when i click connect it shows this :
Do you want to set up your Router? (again, can't post image)

    UPDATE:
Change UT300r2U IP address to 192.168.1.2 in its LAN page.

    WGR614v10:
Try 192.168.1.1 ID admin PW password. confirmed.

    Your Point 2 :
Even the NETGEAR SSID appears, and when i click connect it shows this :
Do you want to set up your Router?
    Some hope ! TRY.
Presume default SSID given in label of router.security key also may be available. confirm.

    2.
You can post images as attachments.
    Here Select Go advanced
    Scroll down
    attachments
    Manage attachments
    upload from Hard disk.
( ensure picture size readable and JPG and fills the page (same way i have posted )
or upload from the external URL.

If you cannot access menu pages WGR614V10 either directly or via Genie appln , , you have to contact Netgear customer care.on Phone.
Return the model to the shop and get a replacement.

    Para two:
If you can connect any laptop in LAN mode, download application "Connectify" application for your OS XP Windows 7 or Vista.
The Wlan adapter in laptop will work as AP for other wifi devices within range.

    Back to square One !

Thanks for the feedback. Did you use Netgenie ? ( Post No 14 )
How the settings were made by you ?

    24/1
if you are able to access in wifi mode with
default ssid and security key( which I feel you want to change ), let it remain.
    24/2
    When connected check ipconfig /all
and find the Gateway for WLAN
    Default may be 192.168.0 1 or http://routerlogin.net
    Feedback.

A- Yes, used netgenie, and still the same error.
B- Yes i can access it and want to change that.
C-Gateway is 10.0.0.1 and it redirects to www.routerlogin.com/start and then it says oops google chrome could not find the page (Also tried with IE and Firefox and same thing)
I really wanna add the security, since i can't risk it being accessed by someone else, my BB is not UL any more

Please edit ipconfig /all and delete all tunnel data ( not needed )
