how to configure port forwarding on bsnl connection - router an1020-21

appreciate it if somebody could guide me as to how to configure this.

pls don't start off with "in the modem configuration menu" - because i don't know where that is.

i need more basic/detailed instructions.

Since you mentioned not to start off with the modem configuration, I will explain how to get to it. I assume you are using Win XP or later.

Start->Run
Here type "cmd", click ok.
You will get a black screeen now. Type "ipconfig", and Enter.
See for "Default gateway, with some numbers similar to 192.185.1.1

Note down this number. Now you can close this window, and open Intenet Explorer/Google chrome.

In the address bar, paste the number (which you noted down) and enter.

You will reach the modem configuration page.
