Reliance Connection issue with NETGEAR modem (wgr614v10)

HI All

I got my new reliance Broadband Connection and I was using the NETGEAR modem (wgr614v10). I configured my modem with installation CD (NEGEAR GENIE). It works fine for 2 hours after that its getting disconnected. When I check the connection by connecting RJ45 cable form reliance modem to my laptop its works fine. Then I need to reconfigure my modem to make it works fine. Can anyone help me out in this and why everyone is facing the same issue with reliance.

I am also using exactly the same router and I HAVE NOT faced such a problem. My router works just fine without needing any re-configuration. If you can, try and get another router just to see if your current router is faulty or not. I saw your screenshots and the only difference in settings that I could see were in three things. Try changing them to mine and see if that helps ->

1. In the Wireless settings page, try changing the Region to "Asia". I doubt it'll do anything but changing this shouldn't hurt so why not try it.

2. On the same page, try changing the channel to something like 7 or 8. Many channels are often too crowded with other people's wifi networks which can interfere with yours.

3. Again, on the same page, try changing the "Mode" to "Up to 150 Mbps"

Try this and (though I doubt it'll help) hope that it solves your issue.

Post your SNR margin and attenuation. You may be having low SNR margin due to which your connections keeps breaking.. Try upgrading firmware but remember over LAN only, ask for someone having knowledge of this. You can find the SNR etc somewhere in router status. Did you actually read the OP's description of the issue or did you think responding with the parroted solution would be applicable here as well?

OP does not have a problem maintaing the connection over the WAN side through metro-ethernet or DSL, whatever the case maybe. The problem is evidently with the WLAN connectivity on the local side. How does SNR margin and/or attenuation have anything to do with the issue here? Or is it that you were talking of SNR and Attenuation in the connections on the LAN side which, again, is meaningless to ask considering what the OP described.
